About ISTO

Isto is a professional tattoo artist since 2018, and as of early 2026, he is based in Stuttgart, Germany. His work focuses on large-scale projects such as full sleeves and full body compositions, with a primary direction in neo-blackwork, ornamental, geometric, and illustrative styles.

Each project is designed from the ground up to follow the natural form and flow of the human body. His approach is based on structure, balance, and cohesion, ensuring that the final result functions as a complete composition rather than a collection of separate elements. For Isto, a large-scale tattoo project must read correctly from every angle — from the front, from the side, around the elbow, on the inner arm, across the shoulder — maintaining its visual integrity both up close and from a distance.

Since 2020, he has been working regularly as a guest artist in selected studios across Europe, in countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, collaborating with established studios and continuously expanding his artistic experience.

He places strong emphasis on design and detail, investing time in developing each concept before it is transferred onto the body. His background in photography and professional graphic design has shaped his aesthetic and the way he understands composition, light, form, and balance. 

Today, he translates this artistic foundation into his tattoo projects, creating works that function both as personal expression and as cohesive, long-lasting visual compositions.
